For many years, I have joked that America is “…the land of bland beige.”
That all began to change this year. Recently, I have been using more –
and more saturated – colors in our interior projects. This living room in a
Cleveland, Ohio Post-War condo is a great example.
Inspired by a significant piece of art, the client (an art collector)
allowed me to use red as the unifying color in this eclectic installation. The
transitional sofa is a bold statement, as are the stacked side tables. Even
a vintage phone in red helps add punch and life to the room. I am
definitely seeing bold statement colors as a hot design trend for 2012.
