Eclectic Cool

One of our favorite Fall Trends is also one of the most misunderstood. The Eclectic Cool trend does not follow any one style but instead uses what are considered the best elements of all styles. Encompassing  a wide range of historical eras, the cool factor comes in and makes it fresh with a sophisticated, chic and up-to-the-minute twist.

Below, the perfect balance of vintage and modern in this dining room featured in Elle Decor. A collection of mismatched chairs from the 1930’s and 1960’s accent the the retro styling of the vintage table. The smooth and cool toned Kelly Green seats also act to balance about the warm and textured dark woods.

Here a is a smattering of a selection of her personal collection  for her recent Tastemaker Tag sale which sold out in record time.drew barrymore_eclectic cool

In fashion, Eclectic Cool’s been happening since the 1990’s when Carrie Bradshaw showed us all how to mix modern couture pieces with vintage finds and make it all work. Here’s two modern day fashionistas, rocker Gwen Stefani (above) and Beyonce’s stylish sister, Solange (below) interpreting the trend their way.
